
The Credit Union Central BC (CUCBC) manages and administers the employee pension and benefit plans for over 75% of the credit unions in BC. Joining the CUCBC-run plans is optional for credit unions so the CUCBC must prove they are providing top quality services in order to motivate credit unions to join and remain on their plan. As part of their offering, the CUCBC wanted to provide a new, personalized website for employees of the participating credit unions.
Maximizing Customization
Donat Group, working with a trusted communications consultant in the HR field, designed a dynamic website that would house content for more than 40 different pension and benefit plans, for over 60 different credit unions, and all so that each of the 9000 employees using the site thought that it was designed uniquely for their particular credit union and plan coverage details.
Raising the bar on this website project, Donat Group also designed the user interface for a unique self-education gateway focussed on health management and wealth management. This area ran on RSS feeds with an intuitive search and retrieval system. This value-added feature tipped the scale for the CUCBC, which now has a serious competitive advantage in the pension and benefits arena because of their leading edge plan member website.
