Donat Group has been hired to create a "Reactive Learning Object" for the Science Alberta Foundation site: SciQ.ca. SciQ charged Donat with creating a learning object that would enable students located in different cities and countries to easily collaborate over science experiments using the Internet. Donat Group's technical and design expertise accompanied with core understanding of pedagogical issues made the Vancouver Company a clear choice as the development partner for SciQ.
"We were highly motivated by what SciQ asked us to do. The interactive nature of the project is very close to our belief system", said David Gratton, President of Donat Group. "Interactivity means more than simply clicking on a next button or cryptic link. Interactivity is about reflecting back to the user. Creating a dialog. The Reactive Learning Object's simplicity in adapting to user input makes this a real pioneering project."
Update:
The project has gone through a successful pilot with Alberta High Schools located in Grand Prairie and Calgary.
